Gotta LOVE Boulder, CO

We used to have the "Mall-Crawl", but this year we had the Thriller Flash Mob!
Either way, Boulder is a cool place to live.

High School Sport Recruiting Video

I have two kids in college these days. Anyone in my boat understands the "fun" expense that comes along with college. If your kid is good enough to be considered for a sports scholarship, then that will help with the cost of higher education. What better way to show a perspective coach your kid's talents than with a video. Below is a video we did for Kevin who is a very talented golfer. Notice the nifty slow motion version of the swings. Good luck Kevin!

Senior Project Presentation Video

Hey all,

I wanted to share with you a video that 3db Productions produced of a Shining Mountain Waldorf School student's Senior project presentation. Now, obviously Robin is an outstanding student and her presentation was amazing. But I also want you to notice the quality of the video itself. Ever try to film your kid in an auditorium? It usually has lots of echoes and is hard to hear. I tapped directly into the sound system and brought the mixed audio directly into my Sony NXCAM HD video camera on one channel and the other channel captured the crowd reaction via the built-in camera microphone. I then merged the two channels in my editing process. I also edited in the actual powerpoint presentation rather than try to film the screen. The room was pretty dark, but it still came out very nice. Congratulations Robin!! Please take a look...

It's been a while...

Hi again,

Today I attended a seminar by a company called "Top Producer". This was presented to the local Boulder Area Realtor Association members. Lots of good stuff discussed, but the one that caught my ear was the extensive discussion of how video is simply the best marketing vehicle to market a home for sale. This is what I have been saying for the last 4 years since I created the RealVideoTour (http://www.realvideotour.com).

I think that it is important to understand that if a home for sale has a BAD video, then that is worse than having no video at all. So they should look elegant and professional.

Check out the above link for some excellent examples. The 3dbproductions YouTube channel also has a bunch of RealVideoTours.

Cheers,
Dave
